Life & Wellness

Cedar Lake Village believes that for optimal health and wellness, one needs to be healthy spiritually, physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally and vocationally (volunteerism).

We are a faith based community and offer many options for Spiritual life and care. We offer a weekly, non-denominational Church service in our Worship and Life Center. Lutheran and Catholic services are also available throughout the month. A resident-led Bible Study is held weekly. For our physical health, we offer exercises both on land and water that focus on balance, strength and flexibility. Check out our gym which includes two NuSteps as well as various other equipment. Our indoor heated swimming pool is also temperature regulated for arthritis. Current events, bridge, and guest speakers are just a few of the intellectual activities you may want to attend. We also have a library and puzzle stations in several locations throughout our community. Social events are always happening! Plan to attend quality entertainment, shoot pool or laugh with your friends playing beanbag baseball. Or perhaps you want to spend your Friday evening with friends at game night! You may want to check out one of our movies or play Wii bowling in the Cinema. We have care groups for those needing support. Plus, a community of people that become friends that help us through difficult, as well as celebratory times in our lives. There are many volunteer opportunities at Cedar Lake Village. You could scoop ice-cream, help with Sunday Services, read to those who no longer can, crochet or knit scarves for the homeless, facilitate classes, make prayer shawls, answer phones, etc. You can choose to be as active as you desire at CLV.

We are fortunate at Cedar Lake Village to have a hearing loop installed in our Worship and Life Center.  What is a hearing loop?  Essentially, it is a wire circling the room that is connected to our public address system and speakers.  The hearing loop broadcasts the sound from the source as a silent electromagnetic signal to the telecoils in hearing aids and cochlear implants of anyone inside the loop.  This allows individuals who are hearing impaired to hear more clearly anytime something is played over the speakers or spoken into the microphone.

Come be a part of our healthy and happy community!
