Our Story

In 2001, Cedar Lake Village opened its doors as a partnership between The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society and The University of Kansas Health System Olathe Campus.

Located next to The University of Kansas Health System Olathe Campus, Cedar Lake Village is one of only a few campuses in the country providing access to a full continuum of care.

Cedar Lake Village Inc. includes both Cedar Lake Village and Hoeger House, a short-term rehabilitation therapy building on the campus. Cedar Lake Village is managed and staffed by Good Samaritan.

The campus includes acute and non-acute health care services, home health, hospice, cardiovascular medicine, spine surgery, orthopedics, cancer care, 24-hour emergency services, and Good Samaritan Society – Olathe, a long-term care center with a specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia unit.

Cedar Lake Village also offers several social, entertainment and retail opportunities with close proximity to shopping centers, restaurants and hotels.

Our Services

Cedar Lake Village includes villas, senior living apartments, assisted living apartments, memory care assisted living apartments and the Worship and Life Center.

  • Senior living: The 184-unit senior living apartment building is designed to provide people ages 55 and older with some supportive services. It offers the benefits of a personalized lifestyle combined with the security of community living.
  • Assisted living: The 36-unit assisted living apartment building offers a higher level of care that combines housing with supportive services. Assisted living is for seniors who want personalized attention but do not require traditional 24-hour skilled nursing care.
  • Memory care assisted living: The 24-unit memory care building is designed to provide care and supportive services for individuals living with irreversible dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. It includes a smaller residential environment, trained staff and supportive programming.
  • Hoeger House rehab therapy: Hoeger House (pronounced “Hey-ger”) provides short-term rehabilitation through physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The rehab therapy team focuses on each person’s needs for recovery and healing after surgery, injury, illness or stroke.
