Dr. Christopher Ecklund, an Orthopedic Surgeon with Mid-America Orthopedics Kansas City will present on fall prevention, common types of fractures that can occur in the hip area, as well as treatments for each. He will also discuss knee osteoarthritis and share the current best surgical and nonsurgical treatments.

Effective Communication Strategies is a program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association® that explores how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s disease. Participants will learn the communication changes that take place throughout the course of the disease. Strategies will be shared to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia and learn ways to respond that are helpful to the person. Helpful strategies to connect and communicate at each stage of the disease will also be presented.

Join the fun at Cedar Lake Village for a Classic Car Show!  Registrants will display their classic cars along the Worship and Life Center parking lot.  Jack's Old Fashioned Kettle Corn truck will be on site from 2 - 4 p.m. providing refreshments including old fashioned kettle corn, gourmet popcorn, fresh squeezed lemonade, dippin' dots ice cream, and cotton candy.  This is a "just for fun" car show, with no judging or awards. All ages are welcome! There will be signage directing parking, and our Cedar Lake Village bus will be acting as a shuttle to bring participants to the Worship and Life Center parking lot where the cars will be displayed.
